Carnage looks to cause some, well... carnage, in this new story.

It's a great time to be a fan of all things Spider-Man, as Spider-Man: Brand New Day has arrived in cinemas, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is around a year away from premiering, a new horror-inspired Midnight Spider-Man comic series is set to debut this autumn, and the 1,000th issue based on the web-slinger's long-running series will also be arriving in September from current writer Joe Kelly and artist Pepe Larraz.

But there is even more on the horizon from the Spidey front, as in November, Jessica Drew will be returning as Spider-Woman for an all-new series designed to mark the 50th anniversary of the character.

It's known simply as Spider-Woman and is regarded as a "bold new era" for the heroine, one that sees her dealing with one of Marvel's most fearsome villains, namely the twisted symbiote monster known as Carnage.

As for the main series, the synopsis is as follows: "Old foes back from the dead! Mysteries around every corner! And a bloodthirsty Carnage just barely kept contained! It's a recipe for Spider-Woman's darkest adventure yet—as the darkness within Jessica Drew threatens to break free..."
