While there are many hoping Microsoft will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Xbox later this year by sharing the first look and bits of official information about the Project Helix console, the current trend seeing hardware prices surging due to the strain being placed on RAM and memory components around the world may make this reveal a little less likely as Microsoft bides its time in the hope costs and production rates settles.

At the end of the day, not even Sony knows when it will be introducing the PlayStation 6 to the world as of the moment...

What we do know is on its way is a very special edition of the Xbox Series X console, with this made to mark 25 years of Microsoft's gaming division. The device is known as the Xbox Series X25 and it's a transparent green machine that pays homage to the original Xbox.

When the machine was revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase in the summer, it was mentioned it would be launching in November with no exact date in mind. Now the notorious leakers over at Dealabs have published a report wherein they claim this is still the case and that the Xbox Series X25 will retail for a whopping €899/$899.

For reference, this would see the machine selling at around £770 (after crude conversion based on the Euro value), making the system approximately as expensive as a PlayStation 5 Pro following the recent price hikes for the gadget.

Xbox hasn't yet confirmed this information, but we Team Green will have quite the presence at Gamescom next week, so perhaps we should look ahead to more news in the days ahead.
