Batman Returns' Batmobile is the focus of the next DC Lego set

The next Batmobile to be brickified will be launching in September.

You can actually get a variety of different Batmobiles in Lego set variants, as the iconic 1989 vehicle driven by Michael Keaton's Batman has been brickified, as has Robert Pattinson's version from 2022's The Batman and Christian Bale's hefty Tumbler from 2008's The Dark Knight too. Now yet another Batmobile is set to be brickified, and this version is based on the second time Keaton suited up as the Caped Crusader.

Yep, the Batman Returns Batmobile from 1992 has been turned into a Lego set, which will be launching around the world as soon as next month. It's a 2,269 piece set, and frankly if you already have the 1989 model in Lego form, you might want to skip this alternative as there isn't a great deal setting the two apart.

The main difference constitutes how this later version of the vehicle can split into three parts to reveal the more narrow Batmissile within. To this effect, the car can split, shedding its sides to reveal another model within, making for a more interactive model when compared to the 1989-themed set.

There's also a slate of references and nods to the movie built into this set, not least a tracking device from The Penguin, and the set comes with a Lego Batman minifigure with a new cowl to reflect Keaton's updated suit in the movie.

As for the debut date and the price, Lego Insiders can snag a set from September 1, while the general public will need to wait until September 4. When that day rolls around, expect to have to put aside £189.99/€209.99 for this model.
