As is always the case when a beloved work is selected to be adapted, many begin to voice their concerns and doubts about the end product and how it will treat the source material. There were these doubts in effect when it was confirmed Santa Monica Studio's God of War was to be turned into a Prime Video TV series, but there also seemed to be a large number of fans who were eager to see what this project would ultimately present.
But then came the first official image, which led to an immensely large amount of backlash as people picked apart the costumes and character designs, the set and lighting, and basically each and every part of this first glimpse at the show. None of this disencouraged Prime Video, and production on the show was kicked into full effect, until it wasn't...
Lead star Ryan Hurst, who was set to portray Kratos, picked up an injury during filming, which due to a lengthy recovery process, will mean he is set to give up the role and let someone else (perhaps Dave Bautista) take over the role. As Hurst's time as Kratos is now over, he has taken to social media, as per Covered Geekly, to share another look at his Kratos, and this mirror selfie is far, far better than the original image shared by the streamer, even if there is still a fair amount of frustration levied by fans who note he "looks like a jacked guy doing cosplay".
What do you think about this latest look at Hurst as Kratos?
