Valor Mortis launches on October 13 for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, with full access on Xbox Game Pass from day one and a 90-minute trial for PlayStation Plus subscribers. The launch timing follows the game's confirmation that it was ready for launch.
The PlayStation trial lets players sample the full game, and progress carries over if they later buy it. Polygon reports that the game is expected to take around 20 hours to complete and costs $39.99 across platforms, making the trial a shorter introduction rather than a substantial slice of the campaign.
Polygon also reported that publisher Lyrical Games chose the $39.99 price to compete with the many games releasing this season. The two subscription offers differ sharply: Game Pass provides the full game at launch, while PlayStation Plus members get 90 minutes to try it before deciding whether to pay for the rest. It’s another day-one addition for Microsoft’s service, alongside games such as Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy.
