The next Kingdom Come game will launch before April 2028

At the start of 2025, developer Warhorse Studios launched Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, which soon became a huge success both in a commercial and critical sense. The game was a labour of love for the developer, a project that took several years to put together, and it was because of this we were all a little shocked to hear Warhorse has another Kingdom Come title in the chamber and edging closer to arrival.

A former statement from Warhorse's communications director Sir Tobi explained we won't "have to wait seven years for another Kingdom Come," and that "if everything goes right, it comes in the next fiscal year." This was communicated in late May 2026, and this has now been confirmed by publisher Embracer Group in their most recent financial report.

Embracer CEO Phil Rogers explicitly noted a new Kingdom Come title is expected to make its arrival before the end of fiscal year 2028, which for reference would wrap up on March 31, 2028. This means the next chapter of the Kingdom Come series (which has yet to be referred to as Kingdom Come: Deliverance III, suggesting it could be something a little different) is planning to launch within the next 19 months.

This all comes as Warhorse has confirmed it is also working on an ambitious Middle-earth open-world RPG, a project revealed to the world at the same time as the next "Kingdom Come adventure" was presented too.
