Last year, Square Enix unveiled a new deal with Marvel which would see them create a bunch of new and (hopefully) exciting titles. One of them is tentatively called The Avengers Project, and it's being developed by Eidos Montreal and Crystal Dynamics. The project has only received a mysterious teaser trailer so far, but now, thankfully, we know a bit more.

Recently, Marvel put out a new blog post, which first and foremost reveals the new staff upgrades that were announced some time ago. However, further down, some hints about the nature of the game are revealed, such as the fact that the game features a completely original story. More so than that, it'll feature an open world with several distinct environments.

"The Avengers project, featuring a completely new and original story, will introduce a universe gamers can play in for years to come. The project will be jammed pack with characters, environments, and iconic moments that will thrill Marvelites."

Hopefully, we'll learn more about the game soon. For now, take a look at the only trailer below.
