Esports World Cup 2026: The Rocket League main event starts today, here are the opening fixtures

One of the many finals being planned for the Esports World Cup in Paris this week is the Rocket League tournament, as following hosting its Last Chance Qualifier recently, now it's time for the main event to kick off and to see the 16 teams fighting it out for a piece of the $1 million prize pool.

With this in mind, the Group Stage is set to commence today, August 12, with action planned until the end of the regular week, leaving the Playoffs plenty of space to breathe over the coming weekend.

With the Group Stage being split into two eight-team groups, the aim of this phase of play will be to whittle down the 16 competitors to eight survivors (four from each group) by hosting action in a double-elimination format. While many of these group matches will happen on Thursday and Friday, there are eight games being held throughout the course of today, all of which you can see below.

• MIBR.LOS vs. Spacestation Gaming at 14:30 BST/15:30 CEST
