Avalanche working on a new "pitch"

Work has begun on the next game after Mad Max and Just Cause 3.
Bengt Lemne 23 February 2015

When Gamereactor paid a visit to Stockholm-based Avalanche Studios recently we were treated to a tour of the offices. The majority of the studio is dedicated to development of Mad Max, while Just Cause 3 is being developed in the New York studio. But there are other teams in the Stockholm offices, there's Expansive Worlds (a subsidiary) who work on The Hunter and The Hunter: Primal, there's a mobile team who are working on Rumble City (out on Amazon, coming to Android and iOS soon), there's an engine team and next to them sits a small new team made up of perhaps 8-10 developers.

"I put together a pitch to work on something new," says Chief Creative Officer Christofer Sundberg as we walk by.

No word on what that might be yet, but with both Mad Max and Just Cause 3 planned for release this year, naturally the studio has to look to the future.
