Apex Legends’ Fighter Form Brings Street Fighter 6 to Olympus

The Apex Legends crossover with Street Fighter 6 adds Fighter Form, Wildcard mode, themed cosmetics and a Hadouken Mythic on September 22.

Apex Legends is officially crossing over with Street Fighter 6, and the limited-time event kicks off September 22, 2026. A reveal trailer confirms Respawn Entertainment and Capcom have built out fighting-game abilities, third-person combat, and a full slate of themed cosmetics for the Outlands.

The centerpiece is a reworked Olympus, where the Fight Night arena becomes Luke's Gym and stepping into the ring triggers Fighter Form. Destroying Punch Trucks scattered around the map earns Fight Gauge tokens, which fuel Fighter Form's shift to third-person combat, complete with active blocking, damage reduction, and martial-arts combos. The limited-time Wildcard mode lets players equip Fighter Gear modeled on Ryu, Chun-Li, Akuma, and Dhalsim, unleashing moves like the Shin Shoryuken and Kikosho - a level of genre-blending that fighting fans watching other crossover experiments will want to see land.

Eight Iconic skins pair Legends with their Street Fighter counterparts, including Sparrow as Ryu, Alter as Chun-Li, and Wattson as Cammy. The Hadouken Mythic Universal Melee, wieldable by any Legend, adds custom inspect animations and a themed deathbox, while Zenny earned through challenges unlocks a Lifeline x Li-Fen skin and weapon wraps in the Reward Shop, according to Game8.

Early player reaction has included enthusiasm for the crossover skins and Fighter Form mechanics alongside familiar complaints about Apex Legends cosmetic pricing. Individual crossover skins have prompted discussion over their Apex Coin cost, while the price and acquisition method for the Hadoken Mythic Universal Melee have not yet been detailed by EA.
