It's no secret that Blizzard have been exploring the possibilities of a Diablo III on console the last few years, but other than very general statements there has been little evidence pointing towards proper development.
It seems a community manager, with the twitter nick Bashiok has spoken out of turn as he tweeted "Yup. Josh Mosqueira is lead designer for the Diablo console project." in response to a question whether Diablo III was coming to consoles.
Naturally there is a difference between a project being worked on and it actually getting a release, but this is some kind of acknowledgement that there is a console project and that it is being headed up by a veteran such as Mosqueira (best known for his work on Company of Heroes and Dawn of War at Relic Entertainment).
