Respawn clarifies bullet properties in Apex Legends

All bullets slow enemies down, but there are different qualities to energy ammo, as noticed by players in the battle royale title.

Apex Legends is still in full force right now, as since its reveal earlier this year it has gone from strength to strength, to the point where we're now in Season 1 with a Battle Pass filled with items for players to unlock. There are even esports teams moving into the field, like Cloud9 and The Sentinels.

Players still don't know every little detail about the game though, as when a fan asked Respawn CEO Vince Zampella about the different types of bullets on Twitter, Zampella directed them to senior designer Sean Slayback, who explained the following:

"Current state of live game- 1) All ammo types will slow enemies down when you hit them. 2) Energy ammo doesn't have extra shield breaking power. 3) Energy ammo projectiles aren't slowed by drag and have the fastest flight velocity in each weapon class."

Projectile flight dynamics might be changed for balancing purposes at some point, but there's "nothing to announce about it right now," as Slayback added later on.

Have you noticed any of these properties in-game?
