Back last summer we reported that Mario Kart Tour would release this fiscal year to bring the famous racing franchise with Mario and his buddies to mobile devices, but now a new tweet from the official Nintendo Twitter account reveals it has been delayed ever so slightly.
Expecting it this fiscal year would mean that it'd have to be released by March 31, 2019, but now this new tweet reveals we can expect it this summer. This is because the developer wants to improve the quality of the product and also expand the "service content after delivery."
So it's going to be a while until we see Mario Kart Tour on our mobile devices, but just to remind you, this is what Nintendo calls a "free-to-start" racing game coming to Android and iOS, and follows in the footsteps of other Nintendo mobile titles like Super Mario Run.
