Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has been delayed

Castlevania's spiritual successor will need a lot more time to meet Iga's standards.

The last time we wrote about Koji Igarashi's Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night it was heading into full production. Unfortunately it didn't take long before Igarashi-san realised that they would need a lot more time to meet his quality standards.

Iga and the rest of Inti Creates have updated their Kickstarter page with this post.

This means that we'll get the game in the first half of 2018 at the earliest. The good new is that they are bringing on additional development staff to help make the game Iga originally envisioned. Hopefully this means that Castlevania's spiritual successor will be just as good as its source of inspiration.
