Warner Bros. says they are working on "the second installment of Hogwarts Legacy"

Following the hugely successful Hogwarts Legacy, which surpassed 40 million copies sold as recently as late last year, it was only a matter of time before a sequel was announced. Warner Bros. has previously stated that this is a high priority, and now they've officially announced that development is in full swing.

In an open letter from management to the company's shareholders, we can read: "We expect Games to more meaningfully contribute to segment profitability going forward as our pipeline expands, including the second installment of Hogwarts Legacy."

Since they're mentioning it now and have the new TV series coming later this year, one might suspect that the game isn't actually too far off. It's been three and a half years since the first game launched, and the groundwork already exists. With additional resources, it shouldn't be impossible for Hogwarts Legacy to be released in 2027 or 2028.
