Bengt Lemne 7 October 2009

Ubisoft have announced the acquisition of Paris-based developers Nadeo, responsible for the popular online multiplayer experience Trackmania (if you haven't tried it, seek it out!). Hopefully we will learn soon what the future for the Trackmania series brings and how Ubisoft plan to make use of the the developer's talents.

Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft had this to say on the deal.

"The acquisition of Nadeo is an important step in our expansion within the online gaming sector""Through Nadeo, Ubisoft will gain an expert team, one of the best online technologies around as well as a flagship multiplayer game that enjoys an unrivalled reputation among a loyal and committed community.

We are excited about the idea of introducing TrackMania to an ever-wider audience and sharing the expertise of Nadeo's teams with our company's other developers."
