These 2 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive maps are still pro favourites in 2023

They might not be the most surprising picks, but they are solid maps.
Alex Hopley Editor UK 15 June 2023

So far this year, 2 maps have stood tall as the most popular arenas for pro play in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. These maps are Inferno and Mirage.

This is according to HLTV, which has showcased the favourite maps for its own LAN events. Both of these maps were also the most played throughout 2022, showing they've got a lasting effect since they released in 2012 with the game.

Inferno and Mirage are both expected to get some changes in Counter-Strike 2 when that game is fully ready for launch, but should Valve want to save itself a lot of backlash, we're hoping these changes aren't too fundamental.

Close behind Inferno and Mirage was Overpass, which was the third most popular map, with Ancient falling behind. The list of seven maps available for pro players then falls to Nuke, Vertigo, and Anubis in descending order of popularity.
