At the start of August, those involved with the next generation of James Bond suggested we'd be finding out about who will be taking over the 007 mantle from Daniel Craig by the end of the year. This will finally put a stop to years of speculation and rumours, with most recently seem to have Slow Horses' Jack Lowden pegged as a new favourite for the gig.
Still, one such person who seems to have ruled themselves out of becoming the next James Bond is Theo James, as The Gentlemen's leading star has spoken to GQ and revealed it no longer aligns with where he is in his career and as a person.
"I'm definitely too old now, for one. But, yeah, that would be an example of a place you could never come back from."
Despite this belief, James is still quite high among the odds to become the next Bond, with many bookmakers giving the actor 14/1 odds to take the role. This may seem quite low, but there are only six with equal or better odds than James, with the leading favourites by a wide margin being Callum Turner and Jack Lowden, both of whom sit at around 7/4 odds.
