The Surge 2 shows off its brutal gameplay for the first time

We get to see the Park sector and Goddess Helena.
Sergio Figueroa 22 August 2018

You can't trust anything in The Surge 2, not even a statue, as proven by the recent gameplay trailer that Deck13 and Focus Home Interactive have provided at Gamescom, showing off the dynamic limb-targeting system that let players build their own character and rebuild them over and over again by using parts of fallen enemies.

Take a look at a new environment called the Park sector too, the artificial forest created by humans in the middle of the city. This is place full of dangers like traps, out-of-control former park guardians, and also a group of mercenaries called The Hunters, and the video showcases a brutal bit of combat featuring Goddess Helena.

Deck 13 promises larger and more ambitious level design as well as more abilities, weapons, implants, and drones, but we'll have to wait until The Surge 2 comes to PC, Xbox One and PS4 in 2019 to see how well this all comes together.
