If you ever needed confirmation that the Overwatch League is likely finished, and that 2024 competitive Overwatch will consist of something completely different, the current trend of roster cuts is a very good place to start.
Following the Seoul Dynasty, Los Angeles Valiant, Boston Uprising, and several other teams releasing individuals, several, or their entire team, the current OWL champions, who were only crowned at the start of the month, have now decided to part ways with their entire team too.
The Florida Mayhem has released its whole roster and coaching/management staff, meaning Baek "Checkmate" Seung-hun, Choi "MER1T" Tae-min, Lee "WhoRU" Seung-jun, Ham "SOMEONE" Jeong-wan, Rupal "Rupal" Zaman, Sung "CH0R0NG" Yoo-min, Oh "MAKA" Eun-seok, assistant coach Caleb "McGravy" McGarvey, head coach, Jordan "Gunba" Graham, and assistant manager Jade "swingchip" Kim have all been cut from the team.
There is no word on what the future will hold for these players, or likewise if the Mayhem will look to sign new members for 2024.
