Many of the Overwatch League teams have already prepared for what will seemingly be the collapse of the OWL in the coming weeks and months, as teams have released entire rosters or the majority of their players. The London Spitfire is the latest to join this trend.
Because in a post on X, the Spitfire thanks its roster for their efforts over the year and then specifically states that with all of its players and coaches contracts expiring at the end of the season, it will be evaluating the future of the team in the coming weeks.
This does mean that the team could be re-signed for whatever competitive Overwatch looks like in 2024, but at the same time, this could mean every player will be moving on from the Spitfire very soon.
