The UK Esports Team Committee has announced that it is removing the Overwatch League's London Spitfire from the committee as the franchised team has not been an active part of the UKETC for a while.
As noted in a Twitter post, we're told, "Due to a lengthy period of inactivity with the UKETC, @Spitfire has been removed as a member."
The UKETC is made up of varying esports organisations and teams that are based in the UK. It includes organisations like Fnatic, Guild Esports, Excel Esports, Endpoint, MNM Gaming, and others, and when the UKETC was founded, the Spitfire was actually one of the original eight founding members, making this removal all the more surprising.
The Spitfire has yet to make any announcement or comment on the decision by the UKETC.
