The competitive Counter-Strike 2 season will be continuing later this month when teams flock to Dallas, Texas, to compete in the Intel Extreme Masters Dallas event. The tournament will see 16 of the best teams from around the world fighting for a slice of a $250,000 prize pool, as well as one direct invitation to IEM Cologne this August. With that event coming up, the ESL has locked in the opening matches for the tournament.
The attending teams are being split into two groups, where only the top three of these eight-team groups will qualify and advance to the Playoffs phase of the event. With this in mind, here are the opening matches for each group.
Group A:
- Mouz vs. 9z Team
- Complexity vs. Team Liquid
- G2 Esports vs. Team Falcons
- Team Vitality vs. Monte
Group B:
- FaZe Clan vs. M80
- Virtus.pro vs. Heroic
- Team Spirit vs. FlyQuest
- Natus Vincere vs. BIG
IEM Dallas will start on May 27 and will run all the way until June 2.
