After the announcement of Telltale's majority closure, many fans were left wondering what would happen with the last season of The Walking Dead. After a few weeks of uncertainty, we learned that Skybound would take charge of development of the last two episodes to allow fans to enjoy a worthy conclusion to Clementine's adventures, and last night the studio held an AMA on Reddit, providing some important information on the development of the game.
Skybound's CEO Ian Howe was present in the discussion, and of course users wanted to know about the launch of the third episode. Although Howe didn't offer a specific date (as there are still some legal problems to be solved), he said that the episode was almost finished before the studio closed and that delivery could probably be expected by the end of the year.
As far as the last episode is concerned, Telltale had already started pre-production, but of course what's missing is the most difficult part of development. Howe still wanted to reassure fans by saying that Skybound is in contact with over 40 dismissed employees, and they all seem very willing to help finish the game.
In short, it's good news for The Walking Dead fans, as even though it may be a while, it still seems we're getting the conclusion we've been waiting for. Are you confident that Skybound can deliver?
