It surprised many when Counter-Strike legend Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyljev announced he would be taking a break from competitive play. The massively talented professional, who has won countless tournaments and been honoured for many different things on top of that too, decided to step away from the limelight in October 2023, leaving many to wonder when he'll be back or even if he'll come back to competitive CS altogether. Thankfully, he will.

Speaking at IEM Katowice over the weekend, s1mple stated that he intends to return to competitive action after the PGL Major Copenhagen. This essentially means we can likely look forward to seeing s1mple on stage again in April and onwards.

The exact plans for s1mple's return have yet to be communicated, but we do at least have a timeline for when he will be back.
