Respawn "working on more Titanfall for later in the year"

We know it's not Titanfall 3, but CEO Vince Zampella isn't just content with dropping Apex Legends in the universe.

Apex Legends is the talk of the town right now, as Respawn's CEO Vince Zampella was eagerly teasing us about the battle royale game before the full reveal event on Monday, and now it's here and has accrued 2.5 million players in 24 hours.

Zampella isn't done teasing now that the game is out though, as he has recently taken to Twitter to tell us that "tons of things" are planned for the game in the future, and that they're committed to listening to player feedback. This isn't that teasy, as we knew via a roadmap that we'd be getting more content throughout 2019, but what is very interesting is the following statement:

"We are also working on more Titanfall for later in the year (yes, I said the T word). We love being able to experiment in this crazy universe!"

Before you go speculating about Titanfall 3 we should remind you that Respawn has already said that Titanfall 3 isn't in development, and that what was originally a concept for the game eventually turned into what we can see now with Apex Legends.

What could it be then? Your guess is as good as ours, as it could be anything from Titanfall DLC for Apex Legends to a spin-off title for mobiles.

This news was also confirmed by EA's recent earnings report where they write: "Respawn also plans to launch a premium game this year that is a new twist on the Titanfall universe. More to come on that in the months ahead."

What do you want it to be though?

REVIEW. Written by Mike Holmes

"The mix of weapons, the revive mechanic, the excellent design of the map, the fluidity of the controls, and the stellar gunplay all combine to make a slick first-person experience."
