Respawn Entertainment has backtracked following fan feedback, and has revealed that the travel expenses for players and teams attending Apex Legends Global Series physical events will now be covered by the developer.
Starting with the Split 2 Playoffs, which will be held in Stockholm, Sweden at the end of April, Respawn has provided the following statement:
"We've heard your feedback regarding travel. As a result, we've made the decision to cover travel expenses for all starting players participating at live events for the remainder of Year 2."
The Split 2 Playoffs will start on April 29 and will run until May 5.
