Recently, the Apex Legends Global Series was rocked by a hack that affected many players in the competitive scene in North America. This led to the tournament having to be paused due to the competitive integrity of the event being compromised.

Respawn has now issued a statement talking about this hack, where it also affirms that a series of updates have begun to be launched to prevent hacks and issues like this happening in the future.

The esports team has followed up and added, "We are still actively working with our partners at EA and Respawn and remain committed to ensuring the security and competitive integrity of Apex Legends tournaments.

"At this time, we do not anticipate any changes to the Split 1 Playoffs.
We will have more information to share on the Challenger Circuit and the NA Regional Finals soon."
