PGL Wallachia Season 8: Parivision, Aurora, Liquid, and BetBoom start playoffs with wins

Four teams are already facing elimination from this final phase of the tournament.

The playoffs for the PGL Wallachia Season 8 Dota 2 tournament are already underway. Set to conclude by the end of the weekend, so far the opening matches have taken place and seen four teams commence their playoffs campaign with a victory while a further four slip and tumble and now face elimination woes.

To begin with, Parivision dispatched South America Rejects 2-1, while Aurora Gaming made short work of Heroic 2-0. Team Liquid beat Team Falcons in a similar 2-0 fashion, all while BetBoom Team overcame Team Spirit 2-0 too.

This means that the upper bracket semifinals for the event and the lower bracket first round are now locked in. All four of these next matches are being played today, with the upper bracket winners moving to the upper bracket final and the lower bracket losers being knocked out of the event for good. With this being the case, today's fixtures are as follows.

Upper Bracket Semifinals:

  • Parivision vs. Aurora Gaming
  • Team Liquid vs. BetBoom Team

Lower Bracket Round 1:

  • South America Rejects vs. Heroic
  • Team Falcons vs. Team Spirit
