In just shy of two months, the best Counter-Strike teams from around the world will be heading to Denmark to compete in the PGL Major Copenhagen. Set to be the first Major played on Counter-Strike 2, the event will see 24 teams from around the world in attendance, and with that being the case, PGL has now announced the 32 European teams who will be competing for the 16 invited slots, and the one last chance qualifier position.

As the event will see teams from around the world in attendance, slots will be split as follows; Elimination Stage (7 European teams and 1 American team), Opening Stage (10 European teams, 4 American teams, and 2 Asia-Pacific teams). As for how these slots will be dished out, they will be given to teams depending on their performance in their region's respective qualifier and last chance qualifier events.

In terms of who is set to compete in the European qualifiers, the teams are set to be as follows:

  • RMR EU 1 - FaZe Clan, Virtus.pro, Natus Vincere, G2 Esports, Eternal Fire, AMKAL, BetBoom, 3DMax, 9Pandas, SAW, Movistar KOI, ITB, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Exthunderflash, Fnatic, and Team Falcons.
  • RMR EU 2 - Team Vitality, Mouz, Team Spirit, Monte, Cloud9, Apeks, Astralis, Preasy Esport, GamerLegion, Guild Eagles, ENCE, Ecstatic, Pera, OG Esports, Nexus, and Heroic.

The first qualifier will be set for February 14-17 with the second planned for February 19-22, and top eight teams from these two events will earn a spot in the Major relating to their overall finishing spot in the qualifier.
