Obsidian goes for a more stylised view in Tyranny
New developer diary is all about the artistry of their next anticipated RPG.
When we talked with Tyranny's producer, Matthew Singh back in March, he said that they didn't want the traditional medieval high fantasy setting, but instead something more towards the end of the Bronze Age. This will obviously give them room to mix up the style of their game, which is what they talk about it their latest developer diary.
Here different people from Obsidian talk about how they're trying to mix nostalgic elements with new ones. With evil having control of the world we'll get to see much more destruction and "not happy colours" as Environment Artist Booby Hernandez puts it. Watch the video below, and you'll see that they've put the same amount of thought into every part of the game.
How do you like Obsidian's thinking? Will the "evil has won setting" set Tyranny apart from other RPGs?
