Obsession's Inde Navarrette is getting into video game voice acting, and picks her dream franchise

Before she became the scream queen that everyone's talking about thanks to her role as Nikki Freeman in Obsession, actor Inde Navarrette proved herself an avid gamer over hours streamed playing Fortnite, The Last of Us, and other titles on Twitch. The worlds of acting and video games seem destined to collide for Navarrette, and already she's revealed she's "starting her journey" in the world of video game acting.

In an interview with Variety, Navarrette was asked if she would be interested in doing a voice for a video game. "Yes. I'm starting my journey with that soon," the actor said, adding that she was going to opt for something a bit smaller first to get a feel for video game performances. Whether that means the project is smaller in scale or her role isn't a starring one is unknown. Either way, whatever game she's in is going to get a bump in interest for having Obsession's breakout star involved.

If there was a dream franchise for Navarrette, it would be none other than Resident Evil. Right now, she's playing God of War: Ragnarök, but afterwards she wants to dive into the Resident Evil series, a franchise she's a devoted fan of. "I love that world specifically. The Resident Evil world." If given a role in a Resident Evil game, Navarrette said she would "die inside."

Navarrette then asked if there was a Resident Evil movie, to which interviewer Tiana DeNicola made her aware of Zach Cregger's upcoming adaptation. It might just be me, but there seems to be almost a flicker of disappointment in Navarrette's eyes that she's not involved. Ah well, there's always next time.
