Northgard gets Clan of the Kraken DLC

Shiro Games has revealed that their strategy game Northgard has received a brand new DLC called Clan of the Kraken, which as you might expect revolves around the mythical sea creature, and the clan that worships the beast.

This DLC will cost £3.99 ($4.99 USD, €4.49) and players who choose the clan in-game will receive a penalty for colonisation and constructing buildings away from the coast, with unit attacks also being reduced when away from the sea. Longship docks can be built, although a Trade Victory isn't an option.

The Fishery replaces the Fisherman Hut, and can be used on the lakes and seas, with the Brewery replaced by the Horgr, letting players turn female clan members into Norns, producing Happness and Wyrd (which can be used to activate special abilities).

Northgard is also getting a massive expansion called Conquest in October, and will be coming to consoles this year as well, so the journey isn't over for this Viking strategy game.
