EA's first quarter results have revealed that Crysis 2 has slipped from its original release window of holiday season 2010 to the first quarter of 2011. The statement also flavourlessly confirms the existence of Need for Speed: Shift 2, set for release in March 2011. As it's more of a business document, the reveal wasn't accompanied by the usual fanfare, glitter and screenshots.
GameSpot report that the cause of the Crysis 2 delay, according to EA's John Schappert, was for a "better window and polishing". Polishing, polishing, always with the polishing.
