The first Counter-Strike 2 Major is in the books. Despite a multitude of events being played on Valve's sequel ever since it made its debut, the first official Major for the game was the PGL Major Copenhagen, which saw 24 teams fighting for a slice of a $1.25 million prize pool and concluded on Easter Sunday.

With that event in the books, we have a victor to report on, with this honour going to Natus Vincere, who after a period away from the mountaintop, returns to be dubbed PGL Major victor once again (with their last PGL Major win being PGL Major Stockholm back in 2021).

This result has not only seen Natus Vincere taking home $500,000 in prize money (with the second-placing FaZe Clan receiving $170,000 for their efforts), as the team has now earned direct qualification to the Esports World Cup this summer and the BLAST Premier World Final, which will likely be held in December. Not a bad haul for the Ukrainian team.
