With Sony announcing yesterday that MotorStorm: Apocalypse's release was to be pushed back both abroad and in the UK in respect of the ongoing situation in Japan, GAME has confirmed it was shelving POS (Point of Sale) for the game across all its stores, and is trying to recall copies that may have already shipped from online orders.

Due to online purchases from Gameplay.co.uk shipping out ahead of the retail launch in order for titles to reach customers come release day, some UK copies of MotorStorm may already be on their way to online buyers.

GAME has also clarified to trade site MCV that in shifting the release back and to stop money being taken out of customers account for those that ordered the racer online, those pre-orders have been cancelled.

The company urges people to place a new pre-order to make sure they receive the game come its new release date, which has yet to be confirmed, a GAME spokesperson stating: "We will continue to work closely with Sony on any further developments with this title. Our thoughts are with the people of Japan at this difficult time."
