Codemasters and Koch Media have released the first gameplay trailer for Micro Machine: World Series, coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on June 23.
Executive Producer Chris Gray said: "Micro Machines World Series is a fresh new take on the franchise that is great fun for previous players and those new to Micro Machines. It's a firm fan favourite and we are delighted to be bringing it to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC."
"In addition to the return of the classic Race and Elimination modes, we are extremely excited by the new Battle Arenas. Having 12 players in the same match, all fighting it out with a variety of vehicles and crazy weapons is great fun. Gamers are going to love it."
Racing in the game takes on the form of not only four player local races like series veterans will be used to, but 12 player online races as well. Battle Modes have also been included, where up to 12 people can play games like Capture the Flag, Territory, and 6v6 deathmatch, with 15 battle arenas to choose from (one of which is a Hungry Hungry Hippos board).
Customisation is an option in the game too, as you can choose from 12 vehicles which you can then kit out with skins, emotes, victory poses, and grave stamps.
On top of all this, Brian Blessed will be narrating the UK version of the game, including the start of races and phrases like "enemy flag taken". Could World Series reproduce that classic Micro Machines charm?
