Killer Instinct purchases to fund the fighter community

Money raised will go back into the game.
Jonas Mäki Editor Sweden 29 April 2015

Microsoft has announced a campaign to help fund their fighter community so they can create more tournaments in the future. This will be done with Killer Instinct purchases, starting tomorrow when Cinder is launched. For a period of two weeks, 100% of all proceeds from Killer Instinct will be donated to a fighting game community fund, up to the tune of $100,000 USD.

Killer Instinct will be in this year's EVO fighting tournament, and Iron Galaxy Studios and Microsoft says this in an official statement: "Killer Instinct would not be possible without your passion - you're the fans and community that keep our game alive and growing"

All money from the community fund will go directly to enhancing tournament prizes for EVO and other Fighting Game Community events in 2015 - 2016. Here's a video with Ken Lobb from Microsoft and Adam Isgreen from Iron Galaxy Studios explaining more about this quite generous deal.

Thanks, Shoryuken.
