Heroic have taken home the trophy at the BLAST Premier Spring Finals in Washington, D.C., beating the BLAST Paris Major Champions Team Vitality.
This is the first win for Heroic this year after placing 2nd at the IEM Kotwice and IEM Rio, as well as finishing in the top four at the Paris Major and IEM Dallas. In Washington, D.C. the Danish team have finally managed to lift a trophy high.
"We've been waiting for this for half a year, we knew we could do it," said Martin 'stavn' Lund. The tournament MVP Jakob 'jabbi' Nygaard also gave a statement, saying "we had a pretty clear view on how to play today. We've played [Vitality] a few times now, but I mean our individual skill of the team in this final was at the top level."
Following the BLAST Premier Spring Finals, the CS:GO competitive scene is entering its mid-year break, with competition resuming on the 11th of July.
