As we're in the midseason period of the 2023 Overwatch League season, we're seeing a bunch of different teams making changes to their rosters as they prepare for the second half of the season. To this end, the Hangzhou Spark has announced a rather massive change in the form of the release of head coach Xingrui "RUI" Wang.
The Spark has announced that RUI will be leaving the team for "family reasons" and that before his release, he was "fulfilling his commitment to the team adequately."

As for who will be stepping in to take over head coach duties, this will fall to former assistant coach Xiao "Creed" Yan, an individual that the Spark believes will "lead the team to a higher place in the second half of this season."
