The Overwatch League may be in trouble and might not return for a 2024 season, but that doesn't mean that the 2023 season will be stopping anytime soon. In fact, with a championship and a multi-million dollar prize pool on offer, teams are still grappling to take the elusive title, and on this front, the Guangzhou Charge has made a few roster moves in a bid to secure some more wins.
Specifically, the Charge has announced the release of Shin "PIGGY" Min-jun and then the replacement signing of Qiu "GA9A" Jiaxin. GA9A comes as a previous member of the Chengdu Hunters, a team that has essentially bowed out of the Overwatch League as of late.
Speaking about the signing, the Charge stated, "The roots of Chinese Overwatch run deep in our team, its countless stars making up part of both our history and our future.
"Today we are joined by another member of this legendary region's history. Please join us in welcoming Qiu "GA9A" Jiaxin to the Charge family."
