Astralis has announced that it is losing one of its longest-standing veteran players, as Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander is officially leaving the Danish esports organisation after seven years of being part of it.

Gla1ve will be heading elsewhere in the future, although the exact destination is currently unknown. Speaking about leaving Astralis, the team has published a statement that expresses its thanks for the many years that Gla1ve has committed to the roster.

"Lukas, you will forever be a part of Astralis, the Astralis Family and the Astralis history as one of the greatest ever. On behalf of everyone at Astralis, we wish you all the best in the future."

Gla1ve has also issued a statement in regard to leaving the team, adding: "What we achieved and experienced as a team is something I'll never forget. It feels like saying goodbye to a family that has always been there for me, so a big thank you to the fans, the crew working tirelessly behind the scenes, and the teammates I've gone through thick and thin with in Astralis!"

What do you think the future holds for Gla1ve?
