PUBG launches on Faceit

You can win a Fiat 500 if you're good enough.
Sam Bishop 2 October 2018

Esports tournament platform Faceit has revealed that they've officially launched PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds as a part of their service in Europe, North America, and South America, following on from August's closed beta where 200,000 players signed up.

There's even a real-life competition to celebrate the launch, as the first player to reach 338 Chicken Dinners will win a Fiat 500 car, so there's every reason to join the organised online leagues and progression systems that Faceit offers.

PUBG on Faceit also offers region locks, the latest competitive settings, anti-cheat systems, and Faceit points, which can be exchanged in the shop for in-game items like crate keys and weapon skins.

"Whilst we anticipated high levels of success with the closed beta, we were blown away by the positive feedback and the number of sign-ups. The integration we developed with PUBG allows players to be in a match within seconds and we're excited to welcome everyone on the platform to jump in and experience our competitive battleground," says Niccolo Maisto, CEO of FACEIT. "PUBG is continually proving its fierce potential as an esport, and we're thrilled to be a part of that exciting journey by offering players unprecedented opportunities to develop their skills."

A number of partners like SK Gaming and Team Liquid have already signed up to host competitions, and what's more is that 50% of Faceit account holders who play CS:GO also play PUBG, so there's some crossover between the existing audiences too.
