The Eleague Major: Boston CS:GO tournament has finally wrapped up after weeks of competition, and it was North American side Cloud9 that lifted the trophy after facing FaZe Clan in the grand finals, whittled down from 24 teams in the beginning of the entire competition.

Cloud9's victory, which marks the first time in CS:GO that a North American team has won a Valve Major event (the biggest events in the scene), entertained the home crowd in Boston, and what's more is that they had to face some of the world's toughest competition to get there. FaZe Clan fell 2-1 to Cloud9, only getting a point on Mirage at the beginning, but SK Gaming also fell 2-1, with G2 Esports also losing 2-0.

With this victory Cloud9 has made a massive statement on not only CS:GO but esports as a whole. Could this be a year where we see way more Cloud9 victories?
