LA teams dominate in day one of the Overwatch League

And Dynasty grabs a hard-earned win against Fuel.
Mike Holmes 11 January 2018

The first round of results from the inaugural Overwatch League are in, and it's looking good for the LA-based teams who pressed home their advantages to wipe out their respective opponents.

First up it was San Francisco Schock up against Los Angeles Valiant, followed by the LA Gladiators versus Shanghai Dragons. Both Los Angeles-based teams emerged victorious with 4-0 wins, much to the delight of the crowd.

The final match of the evening was a much more closely contested match, however, with Dallas Fuel narrowly missing out to Seoul Dynasty, with the final score ending 2-1 to the South Korean outfit (the final round was actually a draw, so technically it ended 3-1, but that score doesn't really tell the full story and the match was tense and, for the most part, pretty even).

There's more to come from LA, with the European/UK team London Spitfire taking on Florida Mayhem today (January 11), so stay tuned to Gamereactor for further updates from the Overwatch Arena.
