Enslaved: Odyssey to the West was well received by critics at the release last fall, but despite this the sales of the title haven't really lived up to expectations. Fortunately poor sales aren't all that count and positive reactions mean that Namco Bandai are still considering tasking Ninja Theory with making a sequel.

Lee Kirton, head of marketing at Namco Bandai had the following to say to MVC in an interview:

"It didn't perform as well as we hoped it would, but we're very proud of how it was received by both the media and the gamers who have experienced it. I can't discuss where we are in terms of a sequel, but we're looking at reviews and feedback from the press and because of the gameplay and quality that Enslaved delivered, we see it as a great catalogue title going forward."

Now, if you haven't already, run off and buy Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. It has been marked down from its original price in some places and it's a game worth getting either way.
