Emblem descriptions leak return of Destiny 2's Haunted Forest

The stat-tracking emblems seems to point to the mode coming back, presumably in time for Halloween.

Destiny 2's Haunted Forest game mode has made an appearance before, and it seems that it's set to emerge once again, as Polygon has shared descriptions from two emblems - Terror's End and Deep in the Woods - that point to its return.

It turns out that, since the launch of Shadowkeep and New Light this month, Bungie has updated both emblems, and these now track stats for this year as well as last year. You see, these were both available during the event in 2018, and this seems to confirm that it's coming back for another round.

These emblems track Terrors defeated and deepest branch reached, and the latter refers to branches of the dungeon, with players trying again and again as each branch gets more challenging.

With Festival of the Lost starting on October 29 and running until November 19, it seems plausible that the Haunted Forest could also return around the same time.

Did you enjoy the Haunted Forest last year?

"It's actually an improvement over the last expansion despite the fact that they feel quite similar."
