Destiny 2 not working with Ryzen 3000 CPUs

Several reports from players indicate that the game won't start with this hardware, and Bungie is aware of the issue.

AMD's new Ryzen 3000 CPUs might be appealing to those who like the latest hardware when playing PC games, but it turns out that it's posing a bit of a problem for Destiny 2, as users are taking to Reddit (as shared by PC Gamer) to share stories of the game refusing to work with these CPUs.

As explained by user Trinsikk, the game never starts, despite showing up in task manager and using between five to 10% CPU, and this has been even been addressed on the game's forums.

It's here that user PrBPickles explains how they tested all of their hardware, with the Ryzen 3000 being the only problem. "Until Bungie can update the game, Destiny 2 will not run on a system running Ryzen 3000 series processors," they conclude.

Bungie has responded on Reddit, thanking fans for the report and saying that the team is "currently investigating this issue," so expect to see Bungie update players sooner rather than later on what's going on.
