CCP: "Feedback has been exciting"

Chief Marketing Officer David Reid gives us another update on the highly ambitious Dust 514 currently in closed beta on Playstation 3.

The beta recently moved into the first phase of integration with EVE Online on a test server, and progress is being made on the unusual console beta:

"It's been exciting to see in the feedback we're getting from beta players, a lot of these console guys haven't seen betas like this before. A lot of MMO players, a lot of Eve players or what have you have seen betas go for a while before. You know nobody has really done something quite like this on console before and it's really exciting to see how the communities reacted to it."

On using the Dust 514 Neocom app for PS Vita, while simultaneously using the Vita as a controller playing Dust 514 on PS3:

"Technically speaking that is very possible. And we do expect that there will be people who work on it that way and use it as a second screen if you will. Yeah, you totally could do that."

"It isn't something that necessarilly everyone is going to do, and you certainly don't need to, but yeah, again if you're all in the Playstation eco system you've got your Vita and you've got your PS3 - why not?"
