Castlevania: LoS2 confirmed

Konami's announced Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, continuing the origin story of Dracula and the Belmont clan.

Developed by Mercury Steam, the title will follow directly on from the ending of the original, as Gabriel Belmont stands revealed as Dracula; now the Dark Prince has to return to his castle to reclaim his lost powers.

"Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is a clear example of the intention of KONAMI to develop quality games for Triple-A market," said Shinji Hirano, President of Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. "The rich storylines, vibrant graphics and surprises of the series features are unmatched, what makes Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 in one of the most important releases of next year."
